Click on the photo for a biography of Jonathan Howe from the USS Berkeley site. Admiral Howe was the Commanding Officer from March, 1974- January 1975.
Admiral Howe, a retired four-star U.S. Navy Admiral, was the Special Representative to the UN Secretary General (Boutrous-Ghali) for Somalia. Howe was also the former Deputy National Security Advisor in the Bush Adminstration.
